Description
Granddaddy Purple (or GDP) (Purple Urkle x Big Bud)
Originally created by Ken Estes in 2003, Granddaddy Purple (or GDP) is a famous indica cross between Purple Urkle and Big Bud. This California staple inherits a complex grape and berry aroma from its Purple Urkle parent, while Big Bud passes on its oversized, compact bud structure. GDP flowers bloom in shades of deep purple, a contrast backdrop for its snow-like dusting of white crystal resin.
Its potent psychoactive effects are clearly detectable in both mind and body, delivering a fusion of cerebral euphoria and physical relaxation. While your thoughts may float in a dreamy buzz, your body is more likely to find itself fixed in one spot for the duration of GDP’s effects. Like most heavy indica varieties, Granddaddy Purple is typically pulled off the shelf to treat pain, stress, insomnia, appetite loss, and muscle spasms. GDP blesses growers with massive commercial yields which are ready for harvest following a 60 day flowering time indoors.
GOLDTOP –
I couldn’t be happier with my purchase from new420guyseeds…I’m especially satisfied with the speed and growth of my GDP! At FIVE weeks (from seed mind you) I just transplanted 3 Huge GDPs into 2 gallon containers because they were already nearly rootbound in 1 gallon containers. They’re all on their 6 or 7th cycle of leaves and branching is beautiful! The most advanced is producing its 2nd set of nines already…I’ll never buy another clone again (unless it is from the Vibe/Hype Cannbis Co. – THEY do it right…they don’t razor away branching and they top their clones for even greater yield!)
Anyway, I’ll try to post photos of my plants in general (from new420guy) and GDP for sure because I hit the Tribeca…I seem to have received the perfect set of 3 Grateful Dead Petunia seeds – one is shorter and stouter than the other three and has fat/wide leaves. The next is the middle one in height and is perfectly split between indica/sativa characteristics…lastly, we have the tallest one with sativa dominant characteristics – skinny leaves that don’t touch! I won’t go on and on – even though I already have. Thanks again! Great seeds! Remember – friends don’t let friends buy clones! (That’s my phrase now – dont use it without giving me credit and/or money). Take care!
